15th April:  Kenya Airways would like to inform its passengers, customers and the public that due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland sending clouds of volcanic ash towards UK airspace there is a likelihood of delays and disruption at Heathrow Airport and other European airports, today 15 April 2010.
So far Kenya Airways London office has been advised by the authorities in UK that Heathrow Airport will close today at 1130hrs local time, for a minimum of 6 hours. We also have information from Amsterdam that Schiphol International Airport will close at 2100hrs local time and the length of time of closure is indefinite.
Kenya Airways hopes to operate its KQ 101 from London to Nairobi and KQ 117 from Amsterdam to Nairobi, but will update its customers if advised otherwise by the relevant airport authorities.
